The challenge: Attract and retain exceptional teaching staff. Inspire pupils of all ages to learn and develop. The solution: a value system based on individual empowerment. Creation of a radical new identity inspired by 'nature', a super flexible visual language made up of 'colour slices' which, when pieced together, form an endless array of visual communications from school logo, to class names, icons and characters. Designed in collaboration with Rand Studio, the new identity resonated deeply with the various age groups, cultures and languages at Brimdown, resulting in a universal sense of belonging. 6 months later, Ofsted promoted the school from 'Requires Improvement' to 'Outstanding'.
